Pete C. Reimer, 91, of Olathe passed away June 10, 2010. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, June 14, 2010 at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the funeral home with burial following in Olathe Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Grace Fellowship E-Free Church or Good Samaritan Nursing Center.
Pete was born November 16, 1918 in Meade, Kansas to Jacob and Katherine Reimer. He married the love of his life, Margaret T. Friesen on May 31, 1951.
He helped run a cattle ranch with his brother prior to moving to Olathe in 1963. Pete retired after 19 years as a mechanic from Dean Machinery. Mr. Reimer was a long time member of the Grace Fellowship E-Free Church. Pete’s true passion was gardening and Bar-be-queuing but truly was an all around handy man.
Mr. Reimer is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and four sisters.
Pete is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; adoring daughter, Diane K. Reimer; brothers, John and Ervin (Velma) Reimer; numerous nieces and nephews.
