Rachel was my high school classmate.  She was quiet but always kind to me.  My sincere condolences to the family.  May your fond memories help sustain you.

To Rachel’s Family:  May your fond memories bring you some degree of comfort at this difficult time.  Rachel was my Union City classmate and she was always a good and kind person. I cannot say I knew her well because she was a very quiet and shy person but her passing brings sadness for the loss of such a good human being.

My parents were good friends with Dennis and Rachel when I was growing up and we attended Westside Church of the Nazarene. I have such fond memories of them and their children Denise and Jeremy. They have always been so supportive of our family. I remember Rachel giving me a straw hat with a peach bow when I graduated from high school. I loved that gift! And hung it on my wall next to a Renoir poster. I was so touched when Dennis and Rachel came to our sons’ graduation reception this year. I also became an ICU nurse and had  some great conversations with Rachel over the years about our experiences in the ICU. We will miss her and will keep Dennis and the family in our thoughts and prayers.

I was saddened to hear about the passing of Rachel.  She was my cousin, and we did many things with the Zimmerman family growing up. I will always remember her.  To Dennis, Denise, and Jeremy, you are in my thoughts and prayers.  To her siblings, Karen and Philip, I am thinking about you as well today and you are in my heart. May God give you peace and strength during this time.

I will miss Rachel, seeing her places and getting a big hug from her.  Rachel used to come to Olathe West and sub nurse, it was always fun to see her.

To Dennis Denise and Jeremy : I am so saddened by the death of your wife and mother .Caring thoughts and prayers are with you today.  I have a lot of happy memories of Rachel and the times she stayed with us when she was just a child.  And we were together a few times as adults.  She was loved by anyone who knew her.  My hope is to be with her again in heaven.  May God sustain and give you peace I pray!

Rachel was a fellow school nurse in the Olathe District Schools. She was a cheerful companion when we attended evening CEU classes together. I can still recall her chuckle! When I retired we frequently enjoyed meeting for lunch. I also chose to be a substitute nurse in her building because her room was organized and it was evident the students appreciated her. She will be missed!

I was so saddened to hear of Rachel Knee’s passing, and forever grateful I went to visit her last Tuesday. Rachel greatly enjoyed her school nurse colleagues. She always went “over and above” as evident in her obituary. Once she became a school nurse she joined our State and National organizations, served as our Dtate Vice President and Awards Chairperson for several years, volunteered to co-chair and then chair our Olathe staff development committee, attended the state conference annually, was a CPR and First Aid instructor for the school district and at her church, co-authored an article for our national journal after she helped organize the creation of our electronic policy manual, kept her health room neat as a pin, was one of the first to complete and turn in her annual report at the end of each school year, subbed for many years after retiring, and always had a smile on her face. 
Until we meet again dear friend, I trust you to keep everything in order above and know you are in our Lord’s hands.

So sorry to learn this; Rachel was the school nurse while my daughter attended Pleasant Ridge. She was a kind, caring person! RIP and prayers for her family.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Rachel. I worked with Rachel at Pleasant Ridge for only a few years but because I was a special education teacher we worked together with many children. She always wanted to go above and beyond to help all the students and especially my students. I will always remember her smile, her humor and grace in situation. We stayed in contact due to my husband being a school nurse and her endless teasing of him at meetings and keeping him in his place. She will be dearly missed. I know she has found peace.
