Raymond Marion Cline II, better known as Butch, was born on November 1st, 1954. He was raised in Rosedale and Merriam, KS. Later he moved to Olathe to live with his sister Margaret. He began working for the City of Olathe in the Parks Department. At age 20, he began his firefighting career, which was cut short by a hunting accident. A discharge of the firearm disabled his left arm. After the accident, he devoted his time to teaching hunter safety courses. In 1977, he married his wife Frances Stuteville and began his family of 3. He dispatched for JoCo fire alarm center and Richards Gebaur Air Force base. Afterward, he returned to the City of Olathe retiring in 2013 after 28 years of public service.
Butch was a caring and thoughtful man with quite a sense of humor. Not all appreciated his humor but he always meant well.
He will always be remembered, not only by his family, but by everyone that he crossed paths with. He will truly be missed.
