Tammy Lea Cochran age 53 passed away peacefully January 5th, 2021 in Olathe, KS due to cancer. She was born July 8th, 1967 in Olathe, KS to Ed and Linda Phegley. She married her soulmate James E. Cochran in June of 1985.
Tammy loved her family. She would always put others needs before her own. She was a very giving and loving woman. She shared her love of food and watching cooking shows with her best friend and brother; Eddie and her mother Linda who preceded her in death in 2008. Tammy was so strong and didn’t always realize her own strength. Her family leaned on her so much for love, support and guidance. We are all grateful for this gift she gave to each and every one of us.
Tammy worked for Corporate Cleaning Group at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, KS for almost 17 years. She was very dedicated to her job and the responsibilities of being a supervisor. Her dedication and hard work made her the example employee for CCG on all other accounts.
Growing up Tammy always felt the need to be liked from other children she would give things to other children so they would be friends with her. She carried this giving nature into adulthood. What she didn't realize is that she didn't even have to try for anyone to like her. Every single person that crossed paths with Tammy loved her. They loved her for her kindness, compassion and warmth.
Most of all Tammy loved and adored her children and grandchildren. If you are lucky enough to be present when she gazed into her grandchildren's faces the pure joy radiating from her would blind you.
Tammy is an example of bible verse Proverbs 3:15- She is more precious than jewels and nothing you desire can compare with her. Tammy was definitely precious, sweet, caring and sensitive.
