Timothy R. Jackson

Timothy Roland Jackson, age 57, Gardner, Kansas passed away on the 22nd day of June 2014. A memorial service will be held in his remembrance and friends and family may call 913-230-6061 for message for date and time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Timothy Jackson Memorial Fund at Metcalf Bank, 109 E. Main St, Gardner, Kansas.

Tim Jackson was born January 23, 1957 in Toledo Ohio and was married to Jeanine Jackson on November 11, 1977. Tim was one of the kindest, most sincere people we have known. He was a man of few words but the words he spoke were trustworthy. Tim had a love for adventure and was always looking for new terrain; the world was his playground. Actions speak louder than words and Tim's actions showed a love for his wife, his children, and his grandchildren that are rare in this world. We are so blessed to have his legacy in our lives. Tim's love and fierce commitment to family is clearly evident in all of Tim and Jeanine's children, all of whom are hard wired to love, commit, and sacrifice. We see Tim's face in the faces of his children and grandchildren, and remember how he held each one like a treasure when they were born (and how, when they were older, he would throw them up in the air and spin them until we all about had a heart attack!).

Tim's unique sense of humor is also evident throughout his family. The memory of the legendary "cockroach dance" he performed as his daughters (bride and bridesmaids) circled around him on the dance floor, will bring us joy for many years to come. We are so grateful for Tim and we will miss him. While our loss is immeasurable, we remember that it is temporary, as Tim was loved by and loved God tremendously.

Tim is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jeanine Jackson, his sons Levi, Josiah, and Samuel, his daughters Kalah, Jordin, Jenna, and Timon, and his grandchildren Caesar, Dillon, Alex, Amaris, Jackson, Gabe, Isabel, Lily, Timmy, Nelle, Ezekiel, Noah, and Haddie, and his many friends and family.
