William "Bill" Newell

He graduated from Independence High School and Junior College. He made his way to Olathe, through service in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1954. He married Jane Ann Greer in 1958. He worked for John Burns Publishing Company in Olathe, KS, followed by Schifman Printing Company in Kansas City, MO until his retirement in 2008, at the age of 78. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Olathe. During his retirement years, Bill enjoyed gardening and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Will Leroy Newell and Alice Elnora Born Newell, his brother Joseph Newell, his sister Catherine Warner, his first wife Sharon Reins Newell and his sons-in law Kevin James Haney and Alfred Richard Toll.

Bill is survived by his wife Jane Ann Greer Newell and their children: Stacey Ann Wolff (Todd), Selena Jill Haney Clark (Dr. Michael), Bradford Alden Newell (Corbi Dean), Brooke Jane Toll, Meghan Greer Adelsperger (John), grandchildren William Zachary Wolff, Ann Kathryn Haney Randolph (Aaron), Kyle Alden Haney (Jenilee), Jill Elizabeth Haney Connolly (Shane), William Joel Haney, Luke Alden Newell (Dani), Boone Greer Newell, Madisen Greer Adelsperger, Jack Ryan Adelsperger, 14 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews Mary Lou, Joanne, Maxine, Barbara, Melissa, Cheryl, Barry and their children and grandchildren.

Celebration of Life will be Friday, April 8, 2022 at 2:00pm with Grace United Methodist Church, 11485 S. Ridgeview Rd., Olathe, KS 66061.
