Elaine J. Alers, 55, of Laurence Harbor, passed away at home on Friday December 2, 2011. Born and raised in Newark, she moved to Laurence Harbor 7 years ago. She loved cooking, bingo, and her family. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph & Geraldine Gomez, 2 sisters, Martha & Catherine, and 1 brother, Gerard, she is survived by her husband, Gilbert Alers; her sons: Angelo Feliciano & his wife, Elisa, Anthony Feliciano, and Michael Feliciano; her grandsons, Angelo W. and Dominic M. Feliciano; 5 sisters, Joan, Geraldine, Marie, Rose, & Elizabeth, and 2 brothers, Jospeh & Anthony. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 3-5pm at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Rt. 9, Old Bridge, with a prayer service at 4:30pm. Cremation will be private. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
