

Florence M. Wallace, 79, of Old Bridge, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 19, 2012. Born and raised in New York City, Florence moved to Old Bridge 50 years ago. She was a probation officer for the State of NJ for 12 years retiring in 1997. She was also a US Naval Reserve veteran serving during the Korean War. She was a member of the Old Bridge Theater Guild, and enjoyed fashion design, home decorating, the arts, theater, and antiques. Florence is survived by her husband of 58 years, Timothy Wallace; her daughter, Laurie Wallace; her daughter, Amy Wallace-Montalto, and her husband, John; her son, Christopher, and his wife, Pam Wallace; her grandchildren, Michael Stewart, Timothy Stewart, Steven Montalto, Lisa Montalto, Christopher Wallace, & Brittany Wallace; and her sister, Viola Monfrede. There will be a memorial gathering at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Rt. 9, Old Bridge, NJ on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 1-4pm, with a service at 3:30pm.
