Maria Sofia Regueira Dios

Maria Sofia Dios, 88, of Woodside, NY died Sunday, October 19, 2014 at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY. Born in Argentina she was raised in Spain and moved to Woodside 41 years ago.

Maria was a worker in the garment industry with Gelmart Industries in College Point, Queens. She loved being with family above all and adored spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her husband Jose Dios Fernandez (1994) and is survived by her loving sons Severo and Jose Dios; her adored grandchildren Steven, Samantha, Loli and Severo Dios and her cherished great-grandchildren Aida, Rosa, Francisco, Severo and Jose Fransciso Dios.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 2-5pm & 7-9 pm at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home 3377 Hwy 9 Old Bridge, NJ 08857. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am Thursday, October 23, 2014 at St. Gabriel RC “Historic Church” 549 County Road 520 Marlboro, NJ 07746 with entombment to follow in St. Gabriel's Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum 549 County Road 520 Marlboro, NJ 07746.
