Patricia Beamish, 49, of Old Bridge, died on August 19 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick following a brave battle with cancer, just a few days shy of her 50th birthday. Patricia was born in Newark, NJ. Known as “Pat” or “Patty” by her friends, and “Tricia” by her family, Patricia lived most of her life in Old Bridge and graduated from Madison Central High School in 1979. She was always a hard worker, and most recently worked as a waitress at Jose Tejas in Iselin, NJ.
Patricia’s passion in life was her love for animals. She was devoted to the causes of pet rescue and worked tirelessly to find good homes for animals needing adoption. Patricia also loved flowers and gardening. A friendly and caring soul, she chatted with everyone she met. And everyone who knew her spoke of her quick wit and lively sense of humor.
Patricia will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Surviving are her mother, Joan Beamish of Lincroft; her father James Beamish Sr. and wife Kendra Brown of Southbury, CT; her sisters, Carolyn and husband Paul Ferguson of Fair Haven and Jennifer and husband Andrew Yacykewych of Chatham; her brother James Jr. and wife Tracy Beamish of Memphis, TN; her nieces Jaime Beamish, Lara Yacykewych, and Natalie Yacykewych; and her nephew Thomas Beamish.
