Agnes Jewel Martin

Agnes and her husband, Bill, loved to dance. She enjoyed her flowers and loved working in her yard. She also spent many years on bowling leagues. Agnes was a big sports fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Tennessee Titans. One of her favorite things was going to the casinos to play slot machines. She had a very strong faith and loved being with family.

Agnes was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William K. Martin; sons, David L. Edge and Johnny Martin; daughter, April Jones; siblings Bill Seals, Jim Seals and Nellie Bray; her father, James Seals; and her mother, Maggie Seals.

Agnes is survived by her sons, James Donald Edge (Jenny); Michael Martin (Debbie); grandchildren Wendy Edge, David Edge (Nikki), Michelle Brown, Leslie Jones, Jeannie Nance (Josh), Ginger Vantassel (Danny), Jackie York (Greg), Carla Collins (Eric), Megan Toops; and many great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00PM in the Tulip Grove Chapel. Following the service, Agnes will be laid to rest in the Garden of Memories at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
