Brandon Patrick Jaynes, 44, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on January 25, 2024. He was born on August 19, 1979 in Nashville, Tennessee to parents, Gary and Pat Jaynes. Brandon attended and graduated from Ezell-Harding Christian School. After high school, he attended Middle Tennessee State University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
Professionally, Brandon was a homebuilder. When he wasn't working, he was all about the outdoors. The consummate sportsman, he played baseball and enjoyed watching it. He enjoyed cheering for all college football teams and, especially, sports at Vanderbilt University. Brandon was a big fan of the beach and any kind of water sport in which he could participate. He also loved fishing and spelunking (exploring caves). He loved well . . was well-loved . . . and will be greatly missed.
Brandon was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Herbert Jaynes; maternal grandfather, Ed Weatherly; maternal grandmother, Vera Weatherly; and an uncle, Paul Jaynes. He is survived by his parents, Gary and Pat Jaynes; paternal grandmother, Ruth Jaynes; brother, Michael Jaynes (Terri); niece, Libby Jaynes; nephew, Brady Jaynes; uncle, Dennis Jaynes (Lee Ann); aunt, Teresa Pomeroy (Ron); aunt, Becky Traversie (Troy); and canine boxer companion, "Bandit". Brandon also leaves behind numerous cousins and extended family members.
There will be a Memorial Gathering of Family & Friends on Thursday, February 1, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM in the Tulip Grove Room at the funeral home.
