Carl W Furlough

Carl W. Furlough/ Old Hickory, TN age 88 of Nashville, TN Passed away peacefully on December 10 , 2020 after a short illness. He deeply loved his family and the Lord. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and an avid golfer. He was a 30 year employee of Western Electric a subsidiary of AT&T.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Lydia Malone Furlough, his parents, Leslie and Sadie Furlough, his brothers, Eugene, William, Leslie Buford, Harry, and Roy Furlough.

He is survived by his daughters, Linda F. Sullivan (Don), and Carla F. Hinson (Richard), grandchildren, Tracy LaBuda, Jennifer Solesby, Megan Brady, John Hinson, and Nicole Killgore, and seven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends and neighbors. He had a great love for his family and they loved him dearly.

We will miss his love for life, beautiful smile and great sense of humor. He always enjoyed talking and sharing his thoughts with those he loved. He blessed our lives in his own special way. He will be missed but never forgotten.

A gathering of family and friends will be at Hermitage Funeral Home (615.889.0361) on Saturday, December 19, 2020 1pm - 2pm in the Tulip Grove Room. The Celebration of Life will begin at 2pm with interment following in Hermitage Memorial Gardens at 2:45pm.

Pallbearers are John Hinson, Luke Solesby, Adam Solesby, Steven Brady, Michael LaBuda, and Jason Maxwell.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson St., Nashville, TN 37203.
