Carol Benson, 75, of Lebanon, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 24, 1950, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Bo and Sue Graves. She was a dedicated and compassionate nurse who cared for veterans.
Carol married Gene Benson, on April 27, 1980. They shared 30 wonderful years together, raised their daughter Katy, and shared a love of sports.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Katy McDaniel (Brad); her sister, Jan Whitaker; her niece, Lisa Whitaker (James Reese); and her cherished granddaughters, Olivia and Maddie. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gene, and her parents, Bo and Sue Graves.
Those who knew Carol will remember her loyalty to Memphis sports, her green thumb in the garden, and the joy she found in capturing the world’s beauty through a camera lens.
