Carolyn T McCord - Williams

Carolyn McCord-Williams, known to most as Cackie, 82 of Old Hickory, TN went to be with Jesus Tuesday March 14, 2023. Carolyn was born in Mt. Pleasant, TN on September 25, 1940 to Clarence (Ted) and Lois Thomas. Carolyn spent her childhood years in Nashville and graduated from Goodlettsville High School in 1959. Following high school she attended and graduated from cosmetology school, then spent the next 46 years as a hair stylist and nail technician in the Nashville area working predominately at Castner Knotts and Dillards. Carolyn enjoyed working with her clients, reading, sewing and decorating. She was especially proud of her family and spent countless hours with her grandchildren. Carolyn was a longtime member of Calvary Pentecostal Church and is currently a member of Point of Mercy Church in Madison. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Fred Wayne Williams, and two great granddaughters.

Cackie is survived by her daughters, Theresa (Russ) Lankford, Mylinda (Mike) Cleek, bonus daughters; Kathleen Reeves and Shannon Nicklow, a sister, Teddie Thomas, a brother, Ronnie (Shirley) Thomas, grandchildren, Miranda (Pucker) Clark, Jessica Lorance, Chad (Savannah) Lankford, Jay Spivey, Brooke (Jim) Cohrs, Alexis Cover, Nathan Schrader, and Graceson Reeves and 12 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday March 16, 2023 from 5:00 – 8:00PM at the Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 525 Shute Ln, Old Hickory. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until time of service at 11:00AM at Point Mercy Church, 200 Gleaves St. Madison, TN. Interment to follow in Beech Cemetery, Hendersonville, TN. Pallbearers will be Chad Lankford, Jay Spivey, Troy Spence, John “Pucker” Clark, Jim Cohrs, and Greg Enoch. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Schrader and Graceson Reeves.
