Carrie Anne McManama, 65, of Ashland City, Tennessee, was born November 17, 1960, in Detroit, Michigan, and passed away suddenly on March 2, 2026. Carrie was cherished, compassionate, devoted, generous, hard-working, honest, loyal, and resilient—someone whose steady presence made people feel seen, welcomed, and cared for.
Carrie co-owned and operated Chopper’s Grill in Old Hickory alongside her husband of 24 years, Tim McManama. In the business world, Carrie was known as a “great neighbor,” the kind of person who didn’t just run a place—she built a community around it, one conversation, one meal, and one act of kindness at a time.
Giving back wasn’t something Carrie scheduled around life; it was woven into it. She was a pillar in her community and deeply passionate about helping others, including providing Thanksgiving meals at Chopper’s Grill for those without families or anyone needing food. She was heavily involved with Toys-for-Tots and, for twenty-five years, helped provide families with Christmas dinners and toys for their children. Carrie also took special care to schedule benefit rides for people who have died on motorcycles—showing up for others with loyalty and heart, especially when it mattered most.
Carrie carried many names—“Cuntry,” “Carrie Mama,” and “Mayor of Rayon City”—each one reflecting the way people felt about her: familiar, trusted, and loved. Her legacy lives in the lives she lifted, the tables she filled, and the compassion she gave so freely.
Carrie was preceded in death by her father, Henry Cauchi, and her mother, Nancy Cauchi. She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Tim McManama; daughters Rachel Davenport, Sabrina Christ, and Melissa Weaver; and also leaves behind ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of extended family members and friends.
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends at Hermitage Funeral Home on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. A Celebration of Carrie's Life will follow in the Tulip Grove Room at the funeral home at 12:00 pm. Following the service, Carrie will be laid to rest in the Garden of Gethsemane at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
