Chad Richard Duffey, 63, of Haslet, Texas, passed away March 4, 2024, while vacationing with his family in Breckenridge, Colorado. Chad was born August 29, 1960, in Nashville, Tennessee to parents, Daniel and Betty Duffey.
Chad was preceded in death by his father, Daniel David Duffey, and his mother, Betty Loyce (Boyd) Duffey. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 38 years, Pamela (Anderson) Duffey; son, Cody Duffey (Miranda); daughter, Taylor Vaughn (Chad); son, Cory Duffey; granddaughter, Ellie Vaughn; and grandson, Cayson Duffey.
Chad was a devoted Christian, husband, father, and “Papa Chad.” He loved working out, cars, and spending time with his family and friends. His sense of humor, smile, and friendliness were infectious, and he never met a stranger. He always had a story or joke to share. He worked for American Airlines for over 35 years and leaves behind many cherished friends as well.
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends at Hermitage Funeral Home on Monday, March 11, from 11am – 1pm. A Celebration of Chad’s Life will begin at 1:00 pm in the Tulip Grove Room at the funeral home with Brother Stephen Rogers and Glenn Richardson officiating. Following the service, Chad will be laid to rest in the Hedge Estates at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Serving as active pallbearers will be Cody Duffey, Cory Duffey, Chad Vaughn, Thomas Darnell, Colton Petitt, and Caleb Petitt.
