

Clifford was born July 13, 1936, in Davidson County, the son of the late Rev. Clifford Howard Crossland, Sr., and Laura Louise Jones Crossland. Preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Lavergne Manners Crossland. They were married for 64 years. He was a loving husband, father, Music Minister and truck driver. He was a member, music director, and deacon of Salem Baptist Church. He sang in “The Servant’s Quartet” southern gospel group.
Survivors include one daughter Barbara Crossland (Dr. Timothy Lambright) of Nashville, TN and one son Mark Crossland of Goodlettsville, TN. 4 grandchildren: Hilary Davis (Jeromy Davis Sr.,) Ariel Reiter (Jacob Reiter), Tiffany Anderson (Brant Anderson), Amanda Evilcizer (Micah Evilcizer) and 6 great grandchildren: Jeromy Davis Jr., Janiyah Davis, Jaida Davis, Samuel Reiter, Aaron Reiter, Preslie Anderson, Riley Evilcizer, and Emery Evilcizer.
Preceded in death by one brother, Ernest K. “Buddy” Crossland and one sister Martha Jean Blanton Curtis.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 4pm - 7pm, and Wednesday from 10am - 11am. Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am Wednesday at Hermitage Funeral Home with Brother George Pruitt officiating. Interment to follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
