David Alan Cunningham, Age 68, of Nashville, TN passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, and is now with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Born on September 14, 1956 to the late William Walter (Bill) and Arsula Blanche (Sue) Cunningham, David lived a quiet life surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Sue, and his brother, Michael Cunningham, and is survived by his daughter Niki (Josh) Bullock, his son Casey Cunningham, his grandchildren Wesley, Zachary, Ayla, and Simon Bullock, his siblings Carol (Ray) Parzik, Linda (the late Warren) Slaughter, Bill (the late Eloise) Cunningham, Judith (Ray) Winters, and Rebecca Dickinson, and many nieces and nephews.
David was a strong, talented man who thought carefully about things before coming up with a creative plan of action. From his work in construction around Nashville to his many years as an award-winning Safe Driver in the trucking industry, he touched many lives with his hard work and dedication. He was an extremely talented musician, who played the guitar, drums and composed complicated pieces. He was a member of the band Rio Blue, and opened for Charlie Daniels in 1989. More than any of that, he was a loving father who did his best to make the right decisions for his kids. He had a deep passion for God and love for others. He freely gave to others and was willing to help without hesitation. David’s calm confidence will be missed by all who had the honor to know him. May he rest in peace in his Father’s presence.
Gathering of family and friend Monday March 31, 2025 from 10:00am until 12:00 noon at Hermitage Hills Baptist Church 3475 Lebanon Pike, Hermitage, TN 37076.
