David was born and grew up in Nashville. He graduated from Overton High School and attended the University of Tennessee at Martin where he earned a bachelor's degree in marketing. David was an Administrative Manager for Compassus Hospice.
David loved life and lived it to its fullest and dearly loved time spent with his family. His favorite pastime was hunting anything that could be hunted, whether using a gun or a bow and arrow. He also enjoyed fishing, grilling a good steak accompanied by corn-on-the-cob, a cold beer, even a game of Whiffleball. David always made time for his two dogs, Millie and Waylon, and his two cats, Emily and Iggy.
David is preceded in death by his father, Robert Windrow.
David is survived by his wife, Jessica Windrow; his mother, Susan Windrow; his brother Travis (Angie) Windrow; his nephews, Joshua Windrow and Daniel Windrow; his father-in-law, David Keith (Theresa Vetter); cousins Christie Daniel (Franklin, IN), Sonny Daniel (Franklin, IN), Melissa (Bob) Pyatskowit (Franklin, IN), Jesse Pyatskowit (Franklin, IN), Maggie Pyatsowit (Franklin, IN), Jennifer Griggs (Arlington, TX), James Patrick Griggs (Austin, TX), Sara (Bruce) Anderson (Nashville, TN), Rick (Sandy) Windrow (Cookeville, TN, and David (Tracey) Windrow (Nolensville, TN); an uncle, James Griggs (Franklin, IN); and an aunt, Nancy Janes (Franklin, IN).
A Gathering of Family & Friends will be Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 12pm until 2pm in the Tulip Grove Room at Hermitage Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2pm with Pastor Randy Cordell, officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Windrow, Josh Windrow, Travis Windrow, Mark (Opie) Turney, Steve Boyce, Bob Pyatskowit, Jesse Pyatskowit, and Vincent Brown.
