Donna was born in October 1952, in Savannah, Georgia and grew up in Beaufort, South Carolina. Her husband of 44 years, Artie Brink had moved the family to Mt. Juliet, Tennessee the summer of 1985. She always said she loved Tennessee and had no intention of living anywhere else. Donna was a devoted Christian and an active member of Cornerstone Nashville Church. She dedicated her time and found joy in ministering to others and never missed an opportunity to express gratitude to public service and military professionals for their commitment and service. Donna’s favorite pastime was being outside ensuring she had food and water for visiting birds and squirrels, playing ball with her fur babies, and planting flowers in her raised garden.
Donna is survived by her husband, Artie Brink; brother, Roger Ellis; sister-in-law, Nancy Brink; daughter and son-in-law, Steve and Mary Lancaster; her precious grandsons, Johnny Oberle and David Lancaster; many, many sweet nieces and nephews, and her “babies” Buster, Ellie, and Isabelle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Martha Ellis; sister, Claudia Evans Thomas, and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Gathering of family and friends will be at the Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens on Saturday, April 19. Visitation is at 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm. Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 pm in the Tulip Grove Room immediately followed by Interment onsite in the Garden of Memories.
A favorite passage of Donna’s was, “Whether Jesus calms the storm around you or calms you in the midst of the storm, you are safe wherever He is.” Author unknown
