Doris M. Powell Pardue

PARDUE, Doris M. Powell, age 88 of Hermitage, TN passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014. Doris was born October 10, 1925 in Nashville, TN and was the eldest child of Tom and Thetis Barry Powell. She grew up in Nashville but moved to Michigan to complete her senior year of High School. After her senior year, Doris came to Franklin, Kentucky and married Nelson Pardue. They lived in Nashville and had children: Beverly Pardue Pearman, Chris Pardue and Travis Pardue. A loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, Doris gave her whole heart to everyone and to every endeavor. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Nelson Pardue; daughter, Beverly (Charlie) Pearman; sons, Dr. Chris (Cathy) Pardue and Dr. Travis Pardue; grandchildren, Chad (Jennifer) Pearman, Emily (Jeremy) Stephens, Brandon Pardue, Brittany (Jason) Jones, Ryan (Ashley) Pearman, Adam Pardue and Corey Pardue; 7 great grandchildren, Camille Pearman, Carson Pearman, Brooke Stephens, Cutler Stephens, Corinne Pearman, Holland Stephens and Henry Pearman. Funeral services will be conducted Noon, Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Hermitage Funeral Home with Bro. August Ruff officiating. Visitation with the family 4 – 8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. – Noon Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Chad Pearman, Ryan Pearman, Charlie Pearman, Brandon Pardue, Jeremy Stephens and Adam Pardue will serve as Active Pallbearers.
