Dorothy O. Hicks “Dottie”, age 85 of Old Hickory, TN passed away on August 13, 2022. Dorothy was born in Sumac, TN. She was the daughter of the late Robert Gordon and Helen Lanier O’Malley. She was also preceded in death by husband Billy D. Hicks, siblings Marjorie O’ Malley, Nettie Newman, Jettie O’Malley, Robert O’Malley, William O’ Malley, Howard O’Malley, and Margaret O’Malley.
She is survived by sons, David Hicks of Mt. Juliet, TN and Jeff (Regina) Hicks of Murfreesboro, TN; granddaughters Isabelle Hicks, Gracie Ward and Victoria (Chase) Cromwell; great grandchildren Addie, Brodie, and Regan.
Mrs. Hicks was very well loved and touched many. She was employed for many years with Avco, Textron. She was a member of Central Pike Church of Christ for many years. Dottie was an avid antique dealer. She loved watching her granddaughter play softball. She also enjoyed taking walks in her neighborhood by the lake.
Gathering of Family & Friends Tuesday August 16, 2022 from 4:00-8:00pm at Hermitage Funeral Home. Also on Wednesday August 17, 2022 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon Funeral will begin at 12:00 noon in the Tulip Grove Room at Hermitage Funeral Home. Burial following Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
