Terry was a lifelong resident of Nashville. He proudly served our country in the United State Marine Corps and was a member of the VFW Post 1291. He worked as a security guard for several years. He and his late wife, Evelyn, were married 24 wonderful years. Every anniversary they would celebrate at Demo’s. Terry was a member of Grace Place Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Eugene Weatherby and Savoy Hammersly Weatherby, wife, Evelyn Weatherby and son Terry "TJ" Weatherby Jr.
He is survived by his sons, Gerry Neil (Tonya) Weatherby and Kerry Weatherby; step-daughter, Amy Levine; sisters, Donna Riveria, Brenda Burrows, Linda Hayes, Jamie Smith-Putnam, and Jennifer Franklin; brothers, James Smith, Shane Weatherby, and Dan Smith; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.
The Celebration of Terry’s Life will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 12:00 pm.
Military Honors and Entombment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Terry to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 143, Memphis, Tennessee 38101.
