She was born in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late William E. and Inez Smith. She attended from North High School. Mrs. Fields enjoyed china painting, gardening, canning, waterskiing, Seadoo-ing, dancing, and being on the water. She was a member of the Donelson Homemaking Club. Mrs. Fields was very headstrong and referred to herself as the “comeback kid”; others referred to her as “the lady with the bow in her hair.” She was very adventurous, an extremely strong woman, and never met a stranger. Mrs. Fields was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husbands, Melvin Keith and Joe S. Fields.
She is survived by daughters, Deborah Miller and Valarie Miller; son, Sonny Keith; grandchildren, William (Ana) Miller and Dean (Megan) Miller; and great grandchildren, McKenna, Elijah, and Mariana Miller.
Visitation will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Monday, June 3, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.
The Celebration of Life will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Russ Corley officiating.
Entombment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
