Mr. Lester served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruth Bates Lester, and sons, Michael W. and Phillip B. Lester (Catherine).
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Hermitage Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 2 until 8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
