Frances Jean Manis, 85, of Hermitage, Tennessee, passed away on March 25, 2022. Mrs. Manis was born March 29, 1937 in Kingsport, Tennessee, to parents, Robert and Maude (Myers) Winkler. She retired after a career of raising her three children and working as an Assistant to the Postmaster with the United States Postal Service.
From Her Children - "Mom was an amazing mother. So selfless in every way from start to finish. Raising us kids, while working full-time was never easy, but she and Dad did it well. They raised three of us children who love Jesus and we are so very thankful to them for giving us the foundation to build upon. We will miss Mom so very much, but we are also rejoicing for she is in the presence of her savior Jesus Christ. She has left us with a wonderful example of what unconditional love really does look like through all the ups and downs of our lives here on earth. No person's life can be perfect and Mom's was no exception to that, but through her life, she taught us that our lives could be perfectly molded by God and by God's grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, we can be sanctified. Mom trusted in Jesus and, never wavering, left us with a beautiful example of what that looks like through all of her pain. Some of her fruits are the very children she raised. 'I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.' - John 15:5 NIV
Mom, as your children, we are extremely blessed and eternally grateful that God's plan was for us to be your children. Your examples of love, kindness, grace and selflessness will remain with us and in us for the rest of our lives. For that we all say THANK YOU AND WE LOVE YOU! WELL DONE, MOM!"
