ROBERTS, Gerald "Red" Age 79 of Old Hickory, TN, passed away February 16, 2011. Red, Bluegrass Musician and special friend to all, is preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Odessa Roberts; brother, Guy Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Denise J. Roberts; daughters, Laura Roberts Lewis (John) and Robin Roberts Ladisa (Mike); niece, Sheila Haigler; grandchildren, Nathan, Melanie, Preston and Patrick Lewis; sisters, Joanna McAfee, Kathleen Lowe, Peggy Robinson and Dorothy Smith, plus countless relatives and friends who are "family". The legacy of his fiddle will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Hermitage Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
