

Gregory Paul Selah was born on December 21, 1949, in Camden, New Jersey, and died December 21, 2023, in Hermitage, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peggy J. (Ketrow) Selah and Lester Selah; and by his brother, Lester Edward Selah.
Greg graduated from Haddon Heights High School in New Jersey. He received his bachelor’s degree from Alderson Broaddus University in Philippi, West Virginia and earned his Master’s degree from Scarritt College for Christian Workers in Nashville, Tennessee.
In 1981, Greg married Nancy Ann Shertzer at the Delphi United Methodist Church in Delphi, Indiana. For four years, he served as a Diaconal Minister of Christian Education in the United Methodist Church in Illinois and Alabama, retiring in 1986. He went on to work for various employers including Kroger and J.C. Penney. Greg enjoyed playing with the four cats who spent their lives in his company, trips to the shore, astronomy, and coin collecting.
In 2021, Greg received his fifty-year pin from the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of F. & A. M. of Tennessee and was a member of the Al Menah Shrine. He was a member of the Hermitage United Methodist Church. Since 2015, he resided at McKendree Village, Hermitage, Tennessee.
Greg is survived by his loving wife of forty-two years, Nancy Ann (Shertzer) Selah of Old Hickory, Tennessee; his brothers, Roger Selah (Glennda) of Haddonfield, New Jersey and Richard Selah (Sally) of Cortez, Colorado; and his sister, Bonnie Gindlesperger of Stuart, Florida. Greg also leaves behind five nieces, two nephews, and their children.
There will be a Memorial Celebration of Life for Greg on January 6, 2024, at 1:00pm at the Hermitage United Methodist Church, 205 Belinda Drive, Hermitage, TN, 37076. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the Selah family at www.HermitageFH.com.
