GATTIS Helen Rose of Nashville, TN passed away peacefully at her home, with her family by her side, on her 83rd birthday. A Funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Mark Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Hermitage Memorial Gardens with the grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 7, 2011 at the Hermitage Funeral Home from 4 pm until 8 pm.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Wilford Gattis and brother, Gerald F. Frassrand. She is survived by her children, Thomas A. Gattis (Victoria T.), Susan R. Sisti (Rev. Ed), Philip L. Gattis (Amy), Deborah A. York (John J.), Elizabeth H. Davis and Katherine G. Shavo (Christopher); brothers, Michael Frassrand and David Frassrand (Ruthie); sisters, Jane Terry , Nancy Grimaldi and Becky Liechty (James); 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Helen touched many lives by dealing in her antique business (Gattis Antiques) for over 40 years and she was a devote Catholic.
