Jack D. Davenport

DAVENPORT, Jack D. Age 80, of Mount Juliet, TN passed away July 9, 2011. Jack was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He attended DuPont High school class of 1950, he fought in the Korean War 168th MP Battalion. Jack was a retired employee of E.I. DuPont (Old Hickory) and Avis (Metro Airport) and worshipped at Maple Hills Church of Christ. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Mary Sue Davenport; son, Miles Davenport; very special daughter-in-law, Tammy Davenport; grandchildren, Leah and Kaylee Davenport; niece, Joan Hudson; sisters-in-law, Jean Waldron and Polly Finch; brothers-in-law, Paul Skelley, Jr. and John (Marilyn) Skelley; nieces and nephews, Kathy Gibson, Alison Brown, Jenny Finch, Rick Finch, Jeff Skelley, Lori Smith, Teri Brown, Rusty Skelley; cousins, Edna Estes, Doris Simmons, Betty McClellen, Linda Tarr and Billy Davenport; 2 beloved pet companions, Sugar and Bubba. A Funeral Service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2011 in the Hermitage Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 and Thursday from 4 p.m. until time of the service at the Hermitage Funeral Home.
