James Michael Evetts

James Micheal Evetts, 73, passed away peacefully on Monday January 13, 2025 in Hermitage TN at Summitt Hospital from a short battle with cancer. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Dean and Norma Jean (Tatum) and his loving wife Pam. He is survived by his sons Jeffrey (Margaret) and Jameson (Toni), his granddaughters Willow, MacKenzie and Mallory and his great grandson Abel. Brothers Hal Evetts and Bobby Evetts

Mike graduated high school from Goodlettsville and then lived most of his life in Hermitage. He was in the Navy as an electrician for 4 years and he ended his career working 20 plus years for HCA in the IT department. He was always very active, whether it be softball, golfing, fishing, mowing his land or going to the gym. He loved his family and spending time with them.

A visitation for James will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home, and friday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration of life will occur Friday, January 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Bro Rick Phelps officiating. Private family interment at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

A special thank you to the staff at Summit Hospital. From the care given in the ER to the 8th floor to the ICU. As a family we will be forever grateful for the love and respect you showed him as well as us. Thank you for taking great care of him during this difficult time.
