James Burton Tignor, Jr. of Mt. Juliet, TN passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by parents, James B. Tignor, Sr. and Annie McDuffee Tignor; wife of 69 years, Fannie Medlin Tignor; sister Myla Tignor Mullican; brother Bobby A. Tignor, Sr.; and daughter Wanda Tignor May. He is survived by son, Tom Tignor (Suzanne); daughter, Tracie Tignor Brown; sister, Jo Ann Tignor Herald; four grandchildren, Matthew (Lydia) Tignor, Dara (Joe) Allison, Daniel (Julie) Tignor, and Kayla Brown; nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He retired from Rand McNally Printing Company and began a second career at age 56 with the American Kennel Club. Visitation will be Monday, December 12, 2016 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and Tuesday from 9:00 until 10:00 am at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens with Funeral Service at 10:00 am.
