Janet Charlene Apple passed away peacefully at Skyline Medical Center on November 30, 2021 after a sudden illness. She was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and her best friend, Larry Wright.
Charlene was born in Nashville, TN on April 28, 1953. She was raised in Gallatin, TN. Her parents were both from Greeneville, TN, and she had fond memories of visiting her grandparents and family there. Charlene had lived in Franklin, KY for many years.
Charlene is survived by her children: Amy Bradley Stremming (Nathan) and their children Rachel, John, Anna, and Samuel Stremming; Nicky Cole and her children Tiffany Carneal, Macy Carneal, and Lilly Humphrey; Brandon Todd and his children Aviona and Harmony Clark. She had two great-grandchildren, Tiffany's children Nova and Nash Nolan. Charlene is also survived by her brother Richard Laws (Connie) from Bellflower, CA, and his children Travis Laws (Jackie) and Brandon Laws (Julie), and her great-niece, Emi (daughter of Brandon and Julie), all of California.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Lillian (Shelton) Laws and her baby brother, Ronald Laws.
Charlene will be remembered for her passion for reading which she passed on to her children, her great sense of humor, her wonderful cooking, and her love for animals. She also loved music, plants, and the mountains of East Tennessee where her family was from. She was a generous, loving person to everyone she encountered, and she never met a stranger. Charlene will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
