

JEANNE LANNOM CATHEY FRASER, of Donelson, TN, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2013. Preceded in death by father, Leonard E. Lannom, Sr., mother, Maude Vaughan Lannom; sister, Margaret Lannom, brothers, Vaughan Lannom, Leonard E. “June” Lannom, Jr., William D. Lannom; husbands, Harold L. Cathey, Norman Fraser; son-in-law, W.A. Wright III.; son, Glen L. Cathey, Sr.; Survived by brother, Joe W. (Dot) Lannom, Franklin; son, Harold Joe (Nancy) Cathey, Sr., Donelson; daughters, Judy Cathey Wright, Lebanon, Debbie Cathey (Steve) Burger, Fairview; Grandchildren (all her favorites) W.A. Wright, IV, Lee and Cathey Wright; Laurie Cathey, Jennifer Campbell and Joey Cathey; Brooke, Austin and Glen Cathey, Jr.; Stephanie Bailey, Chad Burger, and Cindi Barrett; Great grandchildren, Jack, Mallie, Caroline, Will, Taylor, Gracie, Cooper, Rowan, Tavin, Margaret (Maggie Mae), Dalton, Nancy Ann and Cole; and several nieces and nephews. Her 16 year old dog “Ce Ce”, aka Buster, now lives with special friends Percy and Phyllis Folse.

A 1943 graduate of Donelson High School, she played clarinet in the school band. Ms. Fraser also attended Falls Business College and Watkins Night School and was employed by the Southern Baptist Convention for 40 years. Jeanne was a member of First Baptist Church, Donelson, where five of her ancestors were charter members in the early 1900s. Crocheting afghans was her primary hobby, presenting each grandchild with these hand made treasures.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. and 1 – 2 p.m. Tuesday with services 2 p.m. at Hermitage Funeral Home. Interment in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. The service will be conducted by Ms. Fraser’s longtime friend, Lonnie Wilkey, editor of the Baptist & Reflector. Steve Burger, Al & Lee Wright, Joey Cathey, Chad Burger, Austin & Glen Cathey, Jr., Matt Bailey, Jack Barrett and Jimmy Campbell will serve as Pallbearers, while Honorary Pallbearers are Joe Lannom, Leonard E. “Len” Lannom, III, Joseph W. “Bud” Lannom, Jr., Whit Adamson, Pat Brumfield, Bryan Dyer, Harvill Eaton, Tommy Fullington, Eddie Ramsey and Jerome Terrell.
