Jerry David Hunt

He is survived by his wife, Julie S. Hunt; sons, Jerry (Jay) Stanton Hunt, Richard Dean Hunt (Suzanne) & William Alan Hunt (Jen); grandchildren, Faith Ruby Hunt, Ian David Hunt & Halina Mae Hunt; brother, Daniel J. Hunt (Judy); step-sister, Linda P. Cole; sisters-in-law, Jeanne S. Armstrong, Emily S. Ray (Tom) & Kay S. Coleman (Fred); brother-in-law, Richard Stanton (Cookie).

Jerry owned and operated a Shell Oil Company service station in Hermitage for many years. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Hermitage United Methodist Church, 205 Belinda Dr, Hermitage, TN with Rev. Allen Black officiating. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Serving as Active Pallbearers will be Walt Vandegrift, Glen Chenoweth, Gary Barkley, John England, Ian Hunt and Lestor Rizor. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men of Bible Class.

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be from 4 – 8 pm Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN and from 12 – 2 pm Wednesday at the church.

In addition to floral tributes, contributions may be made in Jerry’s memory to Hermitage United Methodist Church.
