JoAnn B Grafton

JoAnn Bentley Grafton , age 74, died Thursday, August 19, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at Tri Star-Summit Hospital in Hermitage. Born May 15, 1947 in Myra, Kentucky to the late Joe and Frona Mullins Bentley , she graduated from Dorton High School in Dorton, KY in 1966. She is a retired co-owner of Grafton Enterprises in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee in which she and her late husband of 32 years, Rick Grafton, operated a successful landscaping/lawn care business for about 20 years. She was intensely devoted to her family and considered many close friends as family. She enjoyed life and lived life to its fullest while keeping her devotion to the Lord. A marvelous red head with a vivacious smile, a sterling personality and the perfect hostess for family and friends, she will be missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Grafton on Dec. 22, 2018; parents, Joe and Frona Bentley; brother-in-laws Roy Haynes and Kenis Johnson; granddaughter, Riley Elizabeth Moore and her in laws, A.D. and Jean Grafton. JoAnn is survived by her 4 sons: Wayne (Jenny) Moore of Murfreesboro, TN; Steve (Dawn) Moore of Mt. Juliet, TN; Jason (Nikki) Grafton of Madison, MS; and Ben (Jane) Grafton of West Memphis, AR; 5 brothers and sisters Estil (Nina) Bentley, Kathleen (Phillip) Tackett, Thelma Johnson, Jean Haynes, Lester (Pam) Bentley), 8 grandchildren (Daniel Moore, Bradley Moore, Shelby (Tanner) Mashburn, Connor Moore, Meredith Grafton, Campbell Grafton, Davis Grafton, Anna Jase Grafton and 1 great grandchild Benjamin Mashburn.

A service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 3 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel ( 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, Tennessee) with Rev. Bill Geisel officiating and remarks by family members. Burial will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 PM-3 PM Monday only at Hermitage Funeral Home, which is handling local arrangements. Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo, Miss. is honored to be assisting their kinsman.
