

Ed is survived by his wife Cheryl Vancil Glass of 35 years. His brother Robert and wife Margaret, of Charleston, MO, and his sister Betty and her husband, Bruce Bonta, of East Prairie, MO, as well as numerous family and friends, also survive him.
Ed was a professional drummer and played several years in the Mark Collier Band in Paducah. He worked in several recording studios in Nashville, in addition to having his own studio. He played with multiple artists throughout his career, as well as entertaining American troops on a USO tour in Kosovo. His love of music ranged from classical, country and 50’s rock ‘n’ roll, to his favorite R&B.
Ed also loved science fiction, astronomy, photography, travel and sailing, including sailing lessons in San Francisco Bay.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Irene (Shoemaker) Glass, and his infant son Donald (Donnie) Edward Glass.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a contribution to the Second Harvest Food Bank at Middle TN, at secondharvestmidtn.org. or a charity of your choice. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
