

Mrs. Charest loved animals. She even took in stray dogs and cats. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, painting, cross-stitching, country music, and serving as an assistant to Waylon Jennings.
Mrs. Charest is survived by her loving husband of sixteen years, Michael Charest; daughter Amber Coogan (Scotty Bell); son Jay Michael Austin; grandchildren Mary Elizabeth Bell, Jay Michael Austin, Jr., Tyler Austin, and Peyton Austin; brother Kirk Hunt (Laura); nieces Shannon Womack and Michelle Lewis; grand-nieces and nephews Triton Parker, Braxton Parker, Abigail Jones, and Jaxson Plunk.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends at Hermitage Funeral Home on Wednesday, March, 16, 2022 from 4pm until 8pm and on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 12pm until 1pm. A Celebration of Life will begin at 1pm in the Tulip Grove Room at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
In addition to flowers, donations may be made to the Nashville Humane Association (nashvillehumane.org/support-us/) in honor of Judy Vim Charest.
