

Kay Marlene Fulghum, age 85, from Gallatin, TN, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024. She was born in Evansville, IN and spent her childhood Wichita, Kansas. When she was 14, her parents Howard and Edith VanDresser along with her older sister Dorothy and younger brother Richard relocated to Donelson, TN.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years Harold Fulghum; children: Michael (Sheri) Fulghum and Kimberly (Ralph) Mainland; grandchildren: Joanna (Barry) Marlatt, John Mainland and James Mainland; great grandchildren: Aiden, Barrett, Charlotte and Dylan Marlatt and her sister Dorothy Brock.
She had a passion for sewing. From hand embroidery to machine stitching. Making clothing for children to outfits for dolls. She always had a project going. Later in life, she found her niche and became an avid quilter. She joined several quilt clubs over the years. She made lots of quilts for her family, friends as well as quilts for donations to cancer patients. She also enjoyed golfing and taking cruises. She loved her family greatly! She will be missed terribly!
Visitation will be held on April 18, 2024 at 9:00 a.m in the Chapel at First Baptist Church Hendersonville, 106 Bluegrass Commons Blvd with a Celebration of Life at 10:00 a.m.
