Vasser, Mary Katherine 85 Went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 23, 2011. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years Carl Lawson. Mary Katherine is survived by her children; Jerry Lawson Vasser (Shirley), Walter Eugene Vasser (Sheila), Thomas Dewain Vasser (Pearl), Margaret Elaine Russell (Charles) and Rita Paulette Fenton (Rick), 10 grandchildren; Jerry Vasser, Jr., Tammy Small, Larry Vasser, Carl Vasser, William Vasser, Richard Davis, Charlie Russell, Jeremy Fenton, Amber Fenton & Robert Hullett, Jr., 11 great-grandchildren, sister; Velma Louise Bohannon. She was a devoted Mother, Loving Wife and Friend. Mary Katherine was a cotton spinner at Werthan Industries for 38 years. A Mother's love is something that no one can explain, It is made of deep devotion and of sacrifice and pain, It is endless and unselfish and enduring come what may for nothing can destroy it or take that love away. Visitation will be Sunday, September 25th 3 pm - 8 pm and Monday, September 26th 11 am - 1pm with service at 1 pm with Rev. Mark Caruth officating, grandchildren and friends will serve as pall beareres. "Mom you will always hold a special place in our hearts."
