Jason graduated Cheatham High School. By trade, he was a fabricator with Volunteer Hose & Gasket, Inc. By passion, he was a painter of graffiti art, skateboarder, music lover, and collector of vinyl records and knives. Above all, he was the best husband, father, and son.
Jason was a very compassionate man. The phrase, “He would give you the shirt off his back”, applies to Jason, but he has literally given the shirt off his back to someone in need. Jason was very approachable. Strangers would approach him and he would engage them in conversation. Possessing this quality, he never met a stranger.
Jason is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Wilson Lee Brown; his paternal grandmother, Gladys Brown; His maternal grandmother, Nancy Patterson; and his sister, Amber Brown; He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Sara McKelvey Brown; his daughter, Nora Emmaline Brown; his mother, Beth Meece (Cal); his father, Michael Brown (Rebecca); sister, Jessica Ann Brown; brother, Brandon Matthew Brown; and step-brother, Christopher Paschall; as well as many nieces and nephews.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Sunday, September 25, 2022 in the Tulip Grove Room at Hermitage Funeral Home from 11am – 3pm. A Memorial Celebration of Jason’s Life will begin at 3pm with Dr. Jud Hayes, officiating.
