Patricia A Boatman

Patricia was the daughter of the late Morgan Horton and Zelma Teeples Horton.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard Boatman, and her brother, Wilmer Lee Horton.

She is survived by her son, Todd (Mary) Boatman of Daphne, Alabama; her sister-in-law, Pearlie Bice; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Patricia retired after a dedicated career with the Internal Revenue Service. She was a longtime member of the Stones River Women’s Club, where she was actively involved in community service, including volunteer work at the Tennessee School for the Blind.

Her commitment to education was further demonstrated through her service as a member of the Board of Directors at Donelson Christian Academy, where she also served as PTO President.

A woman of strong faith, Patricia was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Mt. Juliet. She also faithfully taught Sunday School for many years at previous churches, touching countless lives through her teaching and devotion.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tennessee School for the Blind or to Shiloh Baptist Church (Mt. Juliet), designated for youth programs.

Pallbearers include Barry Cloyd, Kevin Marks, Kyle Smith, Jim Sutton, and Dan Hytry.

Honorary pallbearer is Tom Deep.

The family thanks the many caregivers and friends who cared for Pat when they could not be there and are especially grateful to Pat’s longtime caregiver and friend, Mary Holt.
