Patricia Ann Skulley, of Mt. Juliet, TN, passed away at the age of 77 on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. Pat was born in Nashville, TN, to Donald and Ann Leland on March 8, 1948. After graduating from Mt. Juliet High School, she married James Skulley III, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.
While she began working for the State of Tennessee as an operator for their first computer systems, once she had children she decided to transition to being a full-time stay-at-home mother. She had two sons, Matt and Jason, and enjoyed a full, rewarding experience as a homemaker. This allowed her to dedicate ample time and resources to both her family and her church.
As a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Mt. Juliet, she served the Lord in many different capacities. She taught Sunday School for kindergarteners for over 30 years, served alongside others as part of several committees, and helped with the children's and youth ministries. Pat would often put her skills and creativity to use helping to costume, outfit, and decorate for the many musicals and productions that the church organized. She loved to teach, whether at church or home, and fiercely loved on and stood up for her family in both prayers and actions.
Pat was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Jim Skulley; sons Matt (Shannon) Skulley and Jason (Jodi) Skulley; step-daughter Kim (Troy) Davis; grandchildren Brittany (Andrew) Russell, Jacob Davis, Rachel Davis, Jack Skulley, and Brooklyn Skulley. Pat also leaves behind many loved cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Elizabeth Lepley; father, Donald Virgil Leland; brother, Donald Wayne Leland; mother-in-law, Rubye Leola Skulley; and father-in-law, James Matthew Skulley, Jr.
There will be a visitation for Pat on Monday May 19, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens and on Tuesday May 20, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm with her funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm in the Tulip Grove Chapel at Hermitage Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Coakley officiating. Interment will follow immediately after the service in the Garden of Faith.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Baker, Jacob Davis, Rachel Davis, Bryan Guy, Andrew Russell, and Zach Tompkins.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made in her name to The Gideons International to help advance the name of Jesus at home and abroad.
