Peggy Ann Garrett

Peggy Ann Garrett, 80, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on October 28, 2015. She is proceeded in death by her late husband of 53 years, William Lehman Garrett Sr. and her two sons William Clinton Newberry and William Lehman Garrett Jr., parents, Malcom & Anna Jones.

Peggy started her very successful career as a LPN and continued her education as a Lab Technician and then as Lab Technician Supervisor at a predominate hospital in the Nashville area.

Peggy (Gran) and her husband, (Papa Bill) resided in Hendersonville, Tennessee and throughout their life enjoyed traveling, dancing, water skiing, golf and spending time with family and friends. Their house was always open to their friends and the friends of their children. They were devout Christians and attended Church on a regular basis and various denominations.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Venessa (Tom) Waller; son, Jeffrey (Lisa) Newberry; sisters Betty Sue Allen and Charlene Jones; sister In law, Renee Sarratt; grandchildren, Natalie (Patrick) Brown, Jesse Waller, Chelsea (Chris) Christman, Zach Newberry; and 10 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Shutes Lane in Hermitage. The service will be a combination of Peggy’s funeral and Billy’s memorial during the time of the service.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2nd from between 4:00pm and 8:00pm and Tuesday, November 3rd 1- 2pm followed by the funeral and memorial service. Funeral Service Tuesday, November 3rd, 2pm at Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel.
