

STAUB, Richard "Dick" AndrewAge 83 of Hermitage, TN, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 18, 2013. Richard was born June 12th, 1930 in Aspinwall, PA. He was the son of the late Theodore Staub and Catherine McLaughlin, husband of the late Jayne Elizabeth Staub and the brother of the late Theodore Staub. He is survived by his sister, Martha Misson of Wexford, PA; three sons and three daughters, Richard A. Staub, Jr. of Tampa, FL, Maureen Besst of Orlando, FL, Charles Staub and wife Kathy of Athens, TN, Robert Staub and wife Donna of Memphis, TN, Luanne Staub of Chattanooga, TN, Judith Barrom of Old Hickory, TN, as well as seven grandchildren. Dick was a devoted father, husband and grandfather. His children, grandchildren and friends were the most important part of his life. He always found time to entertain others and was famously known as "The World's Greatest Magician." His love of God will always be a treasured memory in the hearts of the many people who came to know and love him. He will be missed by all. Dick's wonderful personality and love for God will always be a treasured memory to those who came to know and love him. He was a veteran of the US Army, a Retired Executive of Sears Roebuck and Co. for 40 years; he was a Lifetime Member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, receiving the order of Merlin Excelsior. He was a member of the Society of American Magicians, and an Associate of the Inner Magic Circle. He was a member of the Century Club of Distinguished Alumni of Duquesne University and was involved in the Old Hickory Chamber of Commerce. He was an active member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Nashville. He was also in the Knights of Columbus and earned his 4th Degree Knight in 2011. A Life Celebration Mass for family and friends will be held on Monday, July 22nd at 10 a.m., at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 188 Thompson Lane, with the Reverend Joseph Breen officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 21st from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. - 7 p.m., at Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Old Hickory, TN. Flowers gratefully accepted or contributions can be made to: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Endowment & Development Fund-International Brotherhood of Magicians, American Heart Association or an organization of your choice that would be blessed in memory of Dick Staub.
