I had the honor of meeting Bob and Danny my first week of college at U.T. and they made a lasting impression on me. Bob, a bit shy, but always so sweet and sincere.  What an incredible family, obviously, the Schunk family is!  I'm sorry for this loss.  My condolences to you!

On behalf of me and my brother Steve, I would like to say a few words about our very good friend Bob.  First, we would like to give our condolences and prayers to the entire Schunk family.  In our many conversations with Bob, he always stated how much he loved his family and especially his two beautiful children.  He loved you all so dearly, words can not even begin to say.  Please never forget that.  We are very sad on the passing of our good friend Bob, but we ask you all to remember Bob, “not in grief or in sorrow”, but remember all of the good times that you had shared with him throughout his shortened life.  We both have known Bob for more than 30 years, and our paths have crossed so many times over these past years.  From high school, to college, and yet we all remained such good friends over this period of time.  We both have so many fond memories of Bob, and would like to share a few of these with all of you.  We remember “all of us” (friends and brothers) on Sunday afternoons watching football at his house.  The many golf matches and our golf trips to Florida.  The many years of “TAILGATING” at the Titan's games with so many good friends and family.  I personally will always remember the many Titan's games I sat with Bob in the End Zone and how happy Bob would get if we made it on national television or even the JUMBO-TRON at the stadium, for Bob loved his Titan's!  All of these memories are special, because of the good times we all spent together.  Bob, WE WILL MISS YOU!  You touched our lives so dearly, you will never be forgotten.  For now you are “AMONGST THE ANGELS”.  

So in ending, I would like to tell my friend Bob:

For the many years that we sat together in the End Zone, I will once again someday, SIT NEXT TO YOU IN HEAVEN.
