I have many good memories of Ronnie and am glad he was my uncle. One of my earliest memories is when a younger brother and I were very small (about 4-5) we would ride around Nashville with him and his twin brother with the top down in a convertible that they owned. They made sure that we waived to the girls that we would pass along the way or encounter at the stop lights. One of our greatest thrills was when they would put my brother and me on their shoulders and parade us through our grandparents’ house. Their habit of drinking lots of milk at this time rubbed off on us and to this day milk is my favorite beverage.  My brothers and I also got to play soldier in style when we were young because when Ronnie was discharged from the marines, he gave us a duffle bag full of shirts and coats that he had worn when he was serving in the marines. I treasure his visits to New Orleans to see our family and remember well him watching us play little league baseball. In my college days I was honored when he and his twin brother drove to Sewanee to watch me play a college football game against the University of the South.  My favorite more recent memory is when one of my brothers and I stayed at his house when we came to view the solar eclipse. In the morning we relaxed near the kitchen sipping coffee made in his Keurig which was followed by breakfast at the Cracker Barrell. Ronnie was a regular there and knew most of the wait staff and had a regular waitress that served his food. He will be missed but I am grateful for and treasure the time that we got to spend together.  

We have been neighbors for 45t years. He will be missed. Ron was the type of person you could count on if you needed him. We have watched you kids grow up into adulthood. He was always talking about his kids and grandkids. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you and if you ever need us all you have to do is call.  In Christian Love,Jerry Currey Family
