Rose was so special to my mom, Ruby, and therefore to me as well.  I am the youngest (at 52!) of Chuck and Ruby's children.  Rose was so sweet and soft-spoken and loved her family and her sisters.  Because she didn't have daughters, her time with her sisters was extra special.  Though it had been many years since I last saw her, she loved the TLC from the feminine side of things whenever we saw her.  :)   My husband, kids and I  passed thru Tennessee a couple of years ago and wanted to try and see her, but realized we were a few hundred miles away.  She was a beautiful spirit.

I knew Rose only as Grandma. As a child, I would always look forward to visiting Grandma, Grandpa, Lady (their dog), and of course my uncles Tom and Terry would always be there. Grandma's house probably had as many rooms as ours, but it had a way of bringing the family together in one room that was unique. Walking in during the holidays to the smell of food, the sound of family, and the sight of the Christmas tree, meticulously decorated, were some of the most enjoyable experiences you could have as a child. Despite having about 4 other beds to choose from, they would always open up the sleeper sofa for me, which I loved. Grandma was always working hard to make sure everyone was comfortable, entertained, and well fed. She would take us to the park to feed the geese, which is something I like to do with my kids now. I regret growing more distant as I got older. Grandma was the type of person the made a positive impact on people in a truly profound way. We'll miss you Grandma, and we love you.

I am Rose's other younger sister,  & along with Ruby, share so many happy memories, both as a child (she was 15 when I was born)  and also as an adult.  My husband, Rich (Mac), & I also enjoyed our many visits to Nashville.  Until the most recent couple of years I was frequently able to celebrate her birthday with her. She leaves three wonderful, caring sons who will always be in our prayers.                        I could not have asked for a kinder, gentler sister (& yes, second mother),  but while saddened,  I am also relieved that my dear Rose is out of her suffering & is now with Jesus.  May God bless her memory.

I have many happy memories of my dear sister, Rose.  She was like another Mother to me as she was 13 when I was born. I don't remember her ever being mad about anything and she certainly would have had reason to be as I was a pest to say the least. 
       My husband, Chuck, and I spent many happy times with Rose in Nashville. We attended her Arlington church many times and felt so welcome there.
     So now I close this chapter of our lives with Rose who will Forever live in our hearts. May her soul rest in peace.

Rose was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known.  She loved her boys - all of them - her husband, sons, and grandsons.  Rose always had a smile and kind word for everyone.   In turn, she always made me smile.  I will miss her smile and I am so thankful that she was a part of my life.
