Born in 1932 in Nettleton, MS, to Lena Taylor & John Riley Scribner, she was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband (Rev. James V. Cartwright Jr.); her grandson Patrick Cartwright; and her siblings, Johnny & Cullie Scribner, Helen Williams, and Jewel Waddle.
She is survived by: sons Kevin (Jama), David (Linda), and John (Darlene) Cartwright; grandchildren Bethany (Joe Ji), Daniel (Clea), and Chloe Cartwright; great-grandchildren Eleanor, Robin and Issac Ji, Meridian and Alden Cartwright, and Ira, Nori and Orren Lee.
Her services will be held next Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138: 12pm-2pm, Visitation; 2pm Service.
